Tsukumogami are spirits (or “marebito”) who have taken physical form after possessing items of great age. Despite the fact that he is a member of the Saenome clan, which is tasked with sending them back to their own world in a peaceful manner, Kunato Hyouma despises their guts because one of them stole away something extremely valuable to him.
